Perform Rigger and Signalman Tasks

Course Overview

Under the WSH (Operation of Cranes) Regulations 2011, this course provides workers with the necessary skills to safely guide crane operations using correct and clear hand signals. You will also learn how to prepare the lifting site and reinstate the area after lifting tasks.
By the end of the course, you’ll be able to:
  • Prepare for rigging and signaling tasks
  • Guide crane operators with proper signaling techniques
  • Perform lifting tasks safely and efficiently
  • Reinstate and clear the rigging area after operations

Who Should Attend

This course is suitable for individuals who are or will be assigned as Riggers and Signalmen at their workplaces, including both beginners and experienced workers.

Entry Requirements

To attend this course, you must:
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be medically fit
You are also expected to:
  • Have basic knowledge of the relevant work sector
  • Be able to listen and speak in English (equivalent to ES level 2)
  • Be able to read, write, and perform basic math (equivalent to ES level 2)

Course Format & Duration

Total Duration: 17.5 hours (includes 1.5-hour assessment)
  • Training: 16 hours over 2 full days
  • Attendance: 100% required
  • Language: English

Assessment

  • Written Test: Pass mark 60%
  • Practical Test: Must meet full competency standard

Certification

Upon successful completion, you will receive:
  • An e-Statement of Attainment (SOA) from SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG)
  • A Safety Pass from Fonda Global Engineering Pte Ltd
Results will be released within one week after course ends.
