Course Overview

This mandatory course equips supervisors with the necessary knowledge and skills to oversee scaffold erection, inspection, and dismantling in construction and related industries. It aligns with WSH (Scaffold) Regulations, CP14:1996, and the Work at Height Regulations 2013 to ensure safe and compliant scaffolding practices.
By the end of the course, you’ll be able to:
  • Understand the laws and codes of practice for scaffolding work
  • Identify types of scaffold systems and select appropriate ones for the job
  • Supervise the use of correct tools, materials, and PPE
  • Recognise hazards and apply risk controls during scaffold erection and dismantling
  • Maintain scaffold registers and inspection records
  • Conduct thorough assessments of scaffold platforms and structures

Who Should Attend

This course is for all individuals supervising scaffold erection and dismantling in construction sites and other industries.

Entry Requirements

To attend this course, you must:
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be a Singaporean, PR, or valid work pass/permit holder
  • Be medically and physically fit
  • Bring your own safety boots for practical sessions
You must also have:
  • Provide a valid Scaffold Erector Certificate
  • Submit a copy of your highest educational qualification
  • Have basic proficiency in English

Course Format & Duration

Total Duration: 75 hours (including 6-hour assessment)
Options available:
  • Day Class: 9 full days or 9 Sundays (8:30am to 6:30pm)
  • Evening Class: 19 evenings (6:00pm to 10:00pm)
  • Attendance: 100% required
Training includes:
  • Classroom lectures
  • Demonstrations
  • Hands-on group performance

Assessment

  • Written Test: 30 MCQs, fill-in-the-blank, and short/long questions
  • Practical Test: Group demonstrations of scaffold supervision and inspection

Certification

Upon successful completion, you will receive:
  • An e-Statement of Attainment (SOA) from SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG)
  • A Safety Pass from Fonda Global Engineering Pte Ltd
Results are released within one week of course completion.
